trades until 1978 when Area Community High School, Owode Yewa was established. He was not only taking the overall first position throughout his five years sojourn in the school, his West African School Certificate (WASC) result was the best of both in the school and the environ in 1983. His sterling qualities of leadership, self discipline and consistent brilliant performance made him to become the first Senior Prefect of the School, the position he held for his stay of five years in the school. However, he could not honor his admission into the University of Jos at that time, due to financial constraints. .
Today, Adele-Oba Wasiu Kolawole Lawal holds an HND in Accountancy from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, B.Sc in Banking & Finance and MBA in Management all from the University of Science & Technology, Port Harcourt and Law Degree in view from the University of Lagos
He had a 5-year stint with Associated Breweries & Company, Limited, Agbara Estate where he rose to become a Distribution Manager before he left for greener pasture in 1988.
On completion of his NYSC program with Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (an Oil & Gas multinational Exploration & Production company) in 1991, he was adjusted the best youth corp member and was the only one offered employment as an accountant out of about 50 youth corp members. He is still with the company and has today risen to a management position of a Regional Head of Accounts Payable responsible for Qua Iboe Terminal, Eket in Adwa Ibom State and Port Harcourt in Rivers State . He has attended so many courses both in Nigeria , Europe and the Americas .
Adele-Oba Wasiu Kolawole Lawal belongs to many social and pressure groups like Yewa Awori Youth Agenda Forum (YAYAF), Yewa Union, Lagos , Owode Yewa Youths Movement and professional bodies like the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Nigeria Institute of Management. He is the president of Owode Yewa Youths Movement, the Director of Political Affairs in YAYAF and the current Vice Chairman of Yewa Union, Lagos . He is also the First Deputy President, Yewa Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
He is a philanthropist, lover of education, sports and an outstanding community leader. He initiated and organized many developmental projects in Owode-Yewa, and the environment and was always personally involved in their execution. He initiated and funds “Aseele Labowaba Foundation”. This foundation has contributed in no small way to many developmental projects in Yewa Awori land in particular and Ogun State in general. These include giving scholarships to best deserving students (best in class and less privileged) and distribution of exercise books to students in all classes in Ogun State secondary schools, substantial contribution towards the building of Oloke-Odan of Oke-Odan's palace, restoration of Oke-Odan electricity damaged by storm, provision of amenities to Owode Yewa health center, building a befitting Administrative block for Oke-Odan Grammar School, annual substantial contribution to Oronna (Ilaro) day celebrations, substantial contribution towards the organization of Yewa Unity Games (YUGA)
He is today, the Adele-Oba of Oke-Odan land, Tayese of Ketu Land in Republic of Benin and Asiwaju Osara of Ile Ife. He is happily married with children.
